The VP of Operations oversees 12 Assisted Living and Memory Care buildings throughout Washington state and Oregon. This position can be based anywhere in Washington, our home office is based out of Yakima, Washington

POSITION SUMMARY
The VP of Operations helps create joyful and vibrant communities by overseeing the operations of Fieldstone Communities. The VP of Operations ensures outstanding quality care and regulatory compliance, exceptional service to residents, utilization of retention/recruiting development programs, and financial performance and management.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Leadership Responsibilities

· Works with executive directors and CSL leadership to assess, develop, and implement key strategic plans to enhance performance goals.

· Helps build and sustain a healthy, nurturing culture around Fieldstone’s core values.

· Provides education, as needed, to executive directors and other key team members.

· Maintains accountability for regional directors and executive directors.

· Approaches communities as a servant leader and helps set the tone for a joyful & vibrant environment; engages staff, looks for ways to have fun and get to know team members, helping to balance daily challenges in order to create an environment of consistent, safe, quality care.

Quality Responsibilities

  • Ensures the community leadership and staff understand their individual role in creating a joyful customer experience.
  • Works with CSL Leadership, VP of Health and wellness, Regional Directors, and executive directors to ensure that quality resident care is consistently delivered in a safe, interactive, social atmosphere.
  • Works with VP of Health and Wellness to ensure regulatory and quality standards.
  • Ensures that the community has effective customer service programs that include community/resident life enrichment, state and customer satisfaction surveys, fine dining, resident council (when applicable), volunteer program, etc.
  • Ensures the community excels in all regulatory compliance areas.

Administration Responsibilities

  • Monitors each community’s budgetary progress.
  • Monitors weekly ED report. Provides weekly and monthly reporting to partners and investors.
  • Develops and ensures a safe workplace.
  • Reviews policy and procedures.
  • Travels regularly to each of the communities (at least one time per month) and the Home Office.

SKILLS

· Highly proficient to advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office and senior service software systems (such as Point Click Care, Yardi and HRIS).

· Servant leadership style modeling superior ethics, working habits and strong relationships among staff, residents and families, as well as the broader community.

· Demonstrate an on-going ability to develop and maintain good working relationships.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 4+ years’ experience as executive director within the seniors living industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Washington and Oregon State regulations.
  • Successful experience managing/leading people.
  • Sales/marketing experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in regional role and/or with multiple building responsibilities, required.
  • Possesses at least a Bachelor’s degree in nursing, business, social services, behavioral health or related field. Nursing degree preferred.
  • Must be licensed in good standing by Washington State.
