The Role
Applies agile mindset and practice so that the team can deliver value early and frequently. Coaches the team to perform better, acts as its servant-leader and helps remove any impediments. Continuously improves ways of working through ‘inspect and adapt’ and instilling a growth mindset. Helps others understand how the team works and how to interact with it. Facilitates various Scrum (or other) ceremonies, ensuring equal contribution from each team member and helps maintain motivation and camaraderie.
Accountabilities:
- Teaching, mentoring and coaching individuals, teams, and leadership to understand and apply Agile and Lean values, principles, and practices.
- Working across organizational boundaries and with external partners and suppliers to cultivate an Agile community; driving effective practice embedding.
- Involving people in change and influencing through others to ensure that IT (and the wider business) understands Agility – and how we can derive maximum value from it.
- Maximizing efficiency, driving out waste and pinpointing activities that add value.
Requirements
- Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Minimum three (3) years’ relevant experience with agile teams.
- Must have experience in IT Software Development.
- Experience in applying a wide variety of well-documented patterns and techniques to enhance the scrum approach required.
- Knowledge and experience of other agile and DevOps approaches is desirable.
- Experience in release planning, backlog grooming, estimation techniques, facilitate prioritization, sprint planning, capacity planning, daily scrum meeting, retrospective, sprint reviews is a must.
- Experience in presenting different metrics to various stakeholders (status reports, burn down charts etc.).
- Experience with eCommerce / Web Application Development / Mobile App development preferred.
- Experience using .NET / Mobile / Java / salesforce preferred.
- Experience in oil, gas or renewables preferred.
