We are looking for a candidate to help us grow our project and program manage team. Our project and program managers work across our business groups to deliver a wide array of capabilities. You will help expand the bread and depth of what this team can achieve. This intermediate level project specialist will exercise fundamental principles, theories and concepts to assignments to solve a variety of common business issues. Works on problems of moderately complex scope. Acts as an informed team member providing analysis of information and limited project direction input. Exercises independent judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate action. Follows established guidelines and interprets policies. Evaluates unique circumstances and makes recommendations.

Work activities may include:

  • Coordinates multiple projects within a large scale program involving one or more functions driving the engineering development and implementation process for products or service offerings.
  • Develops portions of support requirements for assigned project, including budgets, and resource allocation plans, in accordance with provided plan and specifications.
  • Coordinates the activities of associated project teams; tracks progress against established plans, reports results, and makes recommendations for alterations or updates to program manager.
  • Develops program communications, including creation of status reports and summaries, tracking escalations and resolutions of issues, coordinating stakeholder meetings and updates, and updating project and program plans.
  • Leads resources across multiple projects.

Work deliverables include:

  • Project Data Sheets
  • Creating, aligning and managing the Scope/Schedule/Resource aspects of a project(s).
  • Creating and delivering communications, including creation and maintenance of dashboards, status reports and summaries.
  • Analyzing resource capability, schedules, budgets and their interdependencies.

Successful candidates will:

  • Ensure project is delivered to expectations.
  • Work with Sponsors and Stakeholders to identify and improve process / program efficiencies.
  • Work can involve external parties, contract employees, and other interns as well as HP employees.
  • Exercise independent judgment within defined parameters, grow expertise and practical knowledge of applications within our business context.
  • Act as team member by providing information, analysis and recommendations in support of larger team efforts.

Knowledge Skills:

  • Experience or understanding of project planning tools and software packages.
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
