Description
NOV Pole Products | Ameron™ is a national leader in the manufacture of poles for street lighting and traffic control, our extensive line of products can be used in residential areas and commercial developments, including streets, highways, shopping centers and pedestrian pathways.
Key Responsibilities:
- Champion a proactive safety culture by implementing risk reductions and minimizing at-risk behaviors.
- Engage employees in adopting a “Quality at the Source” mentality.
- Lead team to understand and embrace the company’s value proposition to customers.
- Develop plant leadership to achieve alignment on goals throughout the organization
- Maintain plant KPI’s and ensure targets are communicated to all employees,
- Utilize continuous improvement to identify the improvement opportunities with the highest payback.
- Troubleshoot production issues utilizing effective problem-solving skills.
- Implement and execute a thorough preventive maintenance protocol
- Ensure standard work is fully developed and rigorously followed
- Recognize and effectively remove production constraint(s) to improve plant throughput
- Oversee all environmental reporting and testing activities and ensure that required environmental programs are properly implemented and that the facility maintains full compliance with all permits.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated track record of success in developing and managing a team culture with a low tolerance for at-risk behaviors and unsafe conditions at the plant.
- 10 years experience in plant management and supervision
- Data driven approach to process management and troubleshooting production line issues.
- Demonstrated results in generating process improvements through a collaborative approach
- Strong computer skills (particularly Excel)
- Machine Tool / Mill process experience desired
- Degree and Lean Six Sigma certification a plus
