POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Provide technical and supervisory leadership to the staff of the EAS Custom Air Handling manufacturing facility. Ability to lead multiple project teams with responsibilities for planning, schedules, execution, and cost effectiveness of the custom air handling facility. Ability to deal daily with multiple requirements and conflicting priorities. Plan and conduct the facilities work schedule, which requires vision and sound judgment relating to product design, manufacturability, component procurement, product quality, plant employee safety, production schedules, and customer service.
Job responsibilities:
§ Direct and coordinate the activities of the Custom Air Handling staff. Provide leadership support and direction for shop supervisors, design engineering, material procurement, product engineering, quality assurance, plant safety, product cost, and product service. Must have the ability to be flexible and focused on customer satisfaction.
§ Identify problems and opportunities and implement solutions relating to quality, schedule, safety, product design, changing customer requirements, and cost improvements. Measure and report results.
§ An active leader and champion of plant safety and chemical management. Focused on NC Star status for the plant operations and OHSAS18001 certification for the product.
§ Give input to senior management for the development of a plant-operating budget; execute budget to plan.
§ Plan, lead, document, and implement continuous improvement projects to reduce costs.
§ Perform various personnel actions including, but not limited to, hiring, performance appraisals, promotions, transfers and vacation schedules.
§ Any other job-related duties as may be assigned
EDUCATION:
§ This position requires a minimum of a four-year business management degree in organizational management or a related field. A mechanical engineering degree and or an MBA degree are a plus.
§ A minimum of 10 years of manufacturing leadership as a plant manager is a must.
§ Extensive experience in manufacturing management at the plant level will be considered in lieu of a degree as determined by senior management.

§ Good understanding of manufacturing processes; DFM, JIT, or Flow manufacturing a plus
§ Personal computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Designer or Inventor)
§ Interpersonal skills with vision for coordinating projects involving multiple people and functions.
§ Skilled in plant safety and HAZMAT requirements
