Director of Operations
Overview:
The Director of Operations leads a team of four Plant Managers who are responsible for driving performance improvements in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity. Plant locations include Leominster, MA; Branchburg, NJ; Mechanicsburg, PA; and Selingsgrove, PA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive adherence to Masoniteâs Lean Manufacturing processes in Organizational Design, Lean Management System, and usage of Lean Tools.
- The Lean Management System includes Leader Standard Work, Daily Accountability Process, Visual Controls, and Escalation/Communication processes.
- Partner with Sales, Product Management, HR, and Finance in driving / supporting Business-Level Strategic Investments
- Develop talent at the plants for career advancement
- Enhance employee engagement and participation in achieving Plant targets
- Establish regular review cadence for key initiatives, utilize PDCA principles
Knowledge/Skill/ Abilities:
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Influential skills with functional leaders, ability to lead cross-functional teams
- Lean Manufacturing experience
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook
- Works with integrity, displaying a high degree of tact and diplomacy
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a plant manager or equivalent role
- Experience in managing a P&L
- Bachelorâs Degree
- APICS, CPIM or Lean Sigma Certification preferred
