LICENSEE RELATIONSHIP MANAGER

SALARY: $39,700/yr.

JOB SUMMARY

Under the general direction of the Regional Manager, the Licensee Relationship Manager provides a high level of customer service and individualized attention to Licensee customers, while promoting public safety through the responsible sale and regulation of alcoholic beverages.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Provides direct support and customer service to licensees, including onboarding and orientation, online order training, personalized assistance with product selection, and the management of the licensee ordering and fulfillment process.
  • Collaborates with licensee partners to foster a successful business relationship, while working to grow and expand their outreach efforts in the region.
  • Guides licensees in their product selections through observation, product knowledge, and current consumer trends.
  • Facilitates the online order, bulk order, online lottery, and limited availability handling processes within the region.
  • Assists in the development of marketing strategies and sales campaigns geared towards licensee customers.
  • Coordinate regional product transfers.
  • Collaborates with store stocking to improve the product management of new items, closeouts, and slow movers, and will make recommendations for forecasting improvements.
  • Conducts and tracks quarterly visits to each licensee location to build relationships, discuss their needs, and provide training on new processes and/or products.
  • Maintains shelf stock of Licensee pick area. Works overflow areas during slower periods of the day to assist personnel on the sales floor.
  • Manages inventory levels to minimize stock outs of licensee merchandise. Communicates replenishment needs to management.
  • Works with store stocking to reduce the potential for regional stock-outs of licensee purchased products and limited availability items.
  • Visits customers regularly using personal vehicle.
  • Places orders for specialty merchandise, SOC, limited availability items, and single bottle/ case deliveries to satisfy licensee requests and contacts customer when products are ready for pickup.
  • Originates and develops new merchandising techniques. Queries licensees for their feedback on store promotions, new products, recipes and food pairings.
  • All other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
    REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have considerable experience working in a fast-paced high volume retail operation.
  • Knowledgeable of Virginia ABC products, their taste attributes, and nature of licensee businesses.
  • Working knowledge of Virginia ABC store operations, policies, procedures, and current assortments.
  • Thorough knowledge of the local retail market and current licensee customers.
  • Expert knowledge of the licensee ordering and verification process.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with operating a PC, POS, and other computer peripherals.
  • Must have valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to move cases of alcoholic beverages (up to 65 pounds) and maneuver a hand-truck and/or trolley loaded with 5-6 cases at a time.

Preferred Qualifications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • College coursework with an emphasis on business administration or retail management preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Position may require more hours worked Monday – Friday than on weekends (will vary by store according to peak sales days and hours.) Mileage will be paid for travel between stores and to licensee establishments.
