Overview

ATI is seeking a Head of IT Infrastructure & Shared Services to join our team. The Head of IT Infrastructure & Shared Services is a newly created position to enable ATI’s digital transformation by creating a world class global infrastructure, digital workplace, and application shared services function. Reporting to the Chief Digital and Information Officer, this position will support the business unit Digital/IT leads by providing these key services on their behalf.
The Head of IT Infrastructure & Shared Services must be experienced in on-premise to cloud transformation including infrastructure as a service for hosting and software as a service for various applications and productivity tools. Specifically, experience working with Amazon, Azure, and Office365 is preferred. Deep technical experience is expected, but the ideal candidate will also be skilled in end user and cultural change management to accelerate the transformation. Managing this transformation, articulating the value proposition for change, creating trust and support, and delivering solutions that generate quick and seamless user adoption are all critical success factors. Additionally, strong experience supporting, developing, and transforming Operational Technology (OT) is essential. Particularly, understanding the change management requirements for managing OT infrastructure compared to the business network assets while also leveraging cloud technologies where practical for OT.
Historically, these functions were primarily distributed within the business units, so the candidate must have a heavy industries background, ideally with plant IT/OT experience, combined with enterprise delivery experience. The candidate must be comfortable creating and working within new operating models while demonstrating value of the new structure. The ability to navigate and successfully deliver against initial change resistance is necessary.

Combined with more traditional infrastructure responsibilities, this role will also lead and evolve the existing Application Support shared services team. As the ATI Digital Technology function is transforming, the candidate will be tasked with identifying where this team can add value at the enterprise level and which application support functions are better suited within the business unit IT teams.
As an internal service provider to the rest of the Digital, IT, and OT functions, the candidate will be a team player and focused on the overall success of ATI’s digital transformation. While functionally responsible for Infrastructure and Shared Services, this role is a member of the Digital Technologies leadership team and will be expected to lead and represent the entire function.
