Responsibilities:
Hire, manage and motivate a large team of outbound sales professionals to sell Holland America Line and Seabourn Cruise Line products to new to brand and loyal guests. Partner with brand leadership to establish and exceed sales targets based on forecasted market share and revenue objectives. Act as brand expert in the area of outbound consumer call and contact compliance requirements and ensure technology, policy and talent is managed to guarantee growth and program success.

  • Direct revenue accountability for Holland America Line and Seabourn Cruise Line outbound sales programs with annual target increases.
  • Drive Revenue for Holland America Line North America inbound sales. Derive and implement sales goals and related KPIs as appropriate
  • Provide guidance for day to day operations for outbound teams, including identifying sales roadblocks and developing resolutions. Monitor and drive outbound efforts (dials/emails) consistently
  • Collaborate with Yield Management and Marketing to strategically drive direct sales by reviewing lead generation, effectiveness of promotions, challenges to increasing channel share & new opportunities; including international expansion plans
  • Review & improve the executions of existing sales tools and develop new tools based on agent/ops management feedback
  • Consistently review lead generation, lead qualification, assignment, status of the database and lead contact efforts with Ops leadership, Special Projects & Training Management and IT
  • Collaborate and work closely with Leadership in Operations and Systems Management to address issues and enhance the Siebel Lead Management system and associated processes including CTI and email functionality. Work consistently with resources to improve system and agent productivity to drive sales
  • Conduct weekly status meetings with Sales Managers and mentor and guide as needed
  • Ensure compliance with call & email contact rules, transactional policies and incentive guidelines
  • Oversee the administration of the leveraged compensation (sales commission program) program as well as the non-financial incentive structure for all sales agents
  • Monitor other cruise companies, sales policies and procedures, in order to remain competitive in the marketplace.
  • Create and manage department budget. Notify Senior Management of all variances.
  • Review and provide input to strategic brand marketing campaigns.
  • Manage staffing levels based on budgeted headcount and forecasted lead generation opportunities in order to maximize market penetration and conversion.
  • Oversee special projects as assigned and provide monthly executive performance summaries.
  • Drive strategic initiatives to increase direct sales conversion and achieve revenue targets.
  • Oversight of incentive plan development and target adjustments as required by the business.
  • Understand international consumer rules in order to lead a global expansion effort of the program.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree required, advance degree preferred
  • 5+ years of senior sales leadership experience. Must have prior work with CRM, direct mail, email marketing, content management and lead generation programs
  • Experienced in meeting Sales Goals, Negotiation, Selling to Customer Needs,
  • Motivation for Sales, Sales Planning, Building Relationships, Coaching, Managing Processes
  • Strong CRM background (Siebel preferred) & experience with transactional and BI tools a must. Experience in lead generation systems, marketing targeting and pricing strategies
  • Marketing and branding experience a plus
  • Experience managing budgets and productivity analysis
  • Experience building, leading and mentoring a team
  • Ability to understand technical systems and processes and collaborate with Technical teams
  • Energetic, proactive and dedicated to reaching goals and driving operational excellence
  • Strong analytical skills – capable of making business proposals, ROI justifications and analyzing data for trends, business insight. Experience withering with analysts and ability to give guidance on analysis and reviewing data sets
  • Highly proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other web-based applications
  • Exceptional communication skills that can be shared with a wide audience while remaining clear, concise and diplomatic
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to adapt to change and excellent follow-through
  • Demonstrated ability to produce results and perform under pressure
  • Ability to travel as directed to Santa Clarita, CA
