Position Summary:
The Director of Operations is responsible for providing operational management oversight to designated practice locations within a geographic territory to ensure desired business outcomes. Working closely with the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Director of Operations is responsible for implementing Company initiatives and managing the same, analyzing practice data toward achievement of Key Performance Indicator (KPI) results, and developing strategies and action plans for improvement. This position ensures practice services meet the needs of patients, the Company, and team members through the development of high quality, cost effective, and integrated programs within each practice.
Essential Job Functions
- Manage a territory of CEENTA practices by providing leadership to a geographically dispersed team and ensuring a high level of excellence in patient care by fostering accountability, teamwork, mutual trust, and respect. Manage the operations team within each assigned location to include staff alignment, growth and development, performance management, and involvement in hiring staff and making necessary staff changes.
- Optimize the day-to-day operations by promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement including establishment of operational and performance goals for each department to ensure key performance indicators (KPIs) are achieved.
- Manage profit and loss of each assigned practice and ensure that financial impact contributes to the overall financial health of the Company.
- Ensure patient, physician, and staff relations receive high priority and successfully resolution.
- Maintain regulatory compliance and ensure quality control as it pertains to patient care; create and initiate Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) plans.
- Identify and lead operational improvement projects for practice-specific progression and systemic optimization.
- Identify and share best-practices intra-organizationally and from external, industry-focused resources.
- Coach and develop direct reports.
- Participate in and contribute to workplace committees as designated by COO.
- Consistent and focused communication with physicians and providers to derive appropriate perspective and feedback and to provide pertinent information and data.
- Work collaboratively with Practice Managers, Ancillary Managers, and Project Manager to implement effective, sustainable improvements.
- Perform data analysis as necessary for assessments, objectives, projects, and updates.
- Ability to work on-site and have a consistent presence at all practices within the assigned territory.

Supervision:
This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer.
This position has 8-10 direct reports which include:
- Senior Practice Managers
- Practice Managers
- Practice Supervisors
Work Environment:
This position will focus the majority of time within physician practices under their regional purview and will have a designated office within one practice.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
Management Position
Monday – Friday: Core hours – 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Hours worked, in addition to core hours, can be exepected in this position.
Travel:
Regular travel to each practice location within the assigned territory is required.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Clinical related field required, MHA or MBA strongly preferred. At least 5 years of operational and managerial experience in a healthcare environment with proven competency in leadership outcomes that validate effectiveness and predict future successful deliverables and performance are required.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) certification or completion of fellowship in the American College of Medical Practice Executives (FACMPE) preferred.
