Next Level Fitness and Performance is the best training facility in the Haymarket, Gainesville, and Warrenton area. We serve general population adults ages sixteen to seventy-five and Athletes ages seven to thirty. Next Level is located in Haymarket, VA just off of Route 15 (James Madison Hwy) and within very close proximity to I-66.

Who are we looking for?

An entrepreneurial-minded Director of Athlete Performance with a dynamic personality that is skilled at outreach and developing relationships with coaches, athletes and parents in the local community and possesses strong social media marketing skills as well. This position comes with great responsibility and ownership out of the gate. It’s a big job with a ton of financial upside, if the candidate has the desire to take what we’ve built and take it to the next level. Someone that wants to build something really special.

The ultimate successful candidate will be a real go-getter and possess the following skill set:

  • Take ownership: The drive and ability drive to build a strong athlete performance business and is willing to hustle.
  • Dynamic Coaching Skills: Candidate must be a great coach and truly love coaching and running a strength & speed facility and must care about the athletes both on and off of the training floor.
  • Programming Skills: Position comes with control and design of all programming for athletes, teams, and youth programs.
  • General Population Coaching: There will be 10-15 hours per week of adult personal training or group training, but no programming on the adult side of the business.
  • Leader: Both in the facility and out in the community of clients, coaches and athletes
  • Trustworthy: Must be credible, authentic and carry themselves with strong integrity in order to build solid relationships with coworkers and clients of all ages.
  • Excellent admin skills: writing emails, building and manipulating spread sheets, keeping good filing systems and tracking revenue.
  • Goal Oriented: ability to stay focused on the financial goals of the athlete performance business and as well as the performance of the athletes.
  • Growth Minded: possess a “Never Stop Learning Mentality” willing to do research and attend weekend conferences in order to grow as a coach.
  • Social Media Savvy: understand and possessa good on-line presence that promotes athletic movement, better health and fitness as well as the Next Level the business, but also taking the time to recognize client efforts and successes.
  • Outreach: the ability to recruit coaches, teams, athletes and parents and sell them on our training methodology and programming. This will entail cold calling and emailing coaches, attending games and developing speed and strength clinics.
  • Educator: Teach coaching staff and interns all of the progressions and regressions of the lifts and movement skills.
  • Motivator: Utilizing verbal and written communication, inspire our athlete clients to strive for excellence on and off the field.

Qualifications: Minimum of a B.S. in Exercise Science Management or a minimum of 3 years related experience Personal Trainer in an educational, fitness or professional setting. Proven leadership ability to manage and develop staff. Excellent communication, time management, organizational, sales, service and follow-up skills. Must possess computer literacy skills with email, Word, Excel and internet. Professional certifications: CPR/AED and national personal training organization (NSCA preferred, ACSM, NASM).

Compensation: Successful candidate will be paid a salary $20,000-$25,000 plus quarterly dividends (15% of all athlete revenue, Example if we do $30,000 in athlete revenue in Q1 = $4,500 in bonus money) We offer paid vacation, healthcare and 401K benefits as well as a percentage of every dollar that comes in on the athlete side of the business. This is an entrepreneurial business building-type position.

Candidates will be evaluated based on their ability to develop, plan, and present a comprehensive plan for our athlete training programs that will include a brief outline of year-long, seasonal, weekly, and session structure of how “YOU” would go about doing the job of Director of Athlete Performance, as well as demonstrate the ability to build business through outreach and relationship building.
