Director of Applications

Glatfelter Insurance Group is seeking a Director of Applications to join our Information Technology team in our York, PA office. This IT leader will plan, organize and control software development activities for key, critical business functions in support of our strategic vision. Will be accountable for both the continued maintenance items, as well as the non-tactical projects. This position is ultimately responsible for the applications by encouraging innovation, thought-provoking problem-solving, best practices, and service-oriented mindset. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent business experience and 5 or more years of experience in programming, analysis and demonstrated project management skills. Minimum of 7 to 10 years of IT work experience, including (5) years direct supervisory experience. Five (5) years’ experience with insurance automation applications in an insurance agency and/or insurance company environment. Knowledge of the insurance industry including: marketing, underwriting, policy rating and issuance, billing, claims, management reporting and insurance accounting is desired.
