What will I be doing?

Position Statement:
The Director of Financial Reporting provides oversight and management of a suite of Oracle ERP and EPM Financial and Planning reports supporting multiple user groups for Hilton Grand Vacations (HGV). This is a technical role requiring SQL report development, as well as team management and frequent internal customer interactions.

Position Summary:
  • Actively develops and maintains the suite of corporate financial reports utilizing Oracle EPM and Oracle SaaS Cloud tools including BI Publisher, OTBI and Financial Reporting Studio. This role requires advanced current experience writing SQL in BI Publisher, as well as exposure to the other Oracle reporting tools OTBI and Financial Reporting Studio. Prior experience with Oracle ERP & HCM schema with ability to quickly respond to SaaS patches is highly preferred
  • Leads a team of Financial Report Developers in new report development, report enhancements and maintenance activities to ensure internal customers financial reporting needs are fulfilled in a timely manner. Recruits, selects, hires, trains and develops top talent.
  • Provides reporting customer service to a wide range of business partners including the Board of Directors, CFO, Accounting and Business Operations, often driven by firm deadlines and quick product turnaround expectations working closely with Internal IT.
  • Delivers regular financial reporting and analysis packages during month-end, budget and forecast preparation.
  • Participates in data governance of financial chart mapping including, but not limited to, the establishment of new metrics, the management of reporting hierarchies, the development of organizational charts and the mapping of reporting structures for various systems.
  • Partners with internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to, system end-users, IT, and Finance to develop, implement and maintain standard operating procedures and to improve and refine processes to maximize operating efficiency. Creates strong working relationships with these stakeholders to structure resources and activities to meet business objectives.
  • Responsible for managing a quality assurance process for testing of changes, enhancement and system updates for financial and planning tools to provide acceptance tracking.
  • Ensures appropriate reporting controls are in place to adhere to company SOX/ITIL requirements.
  • Presents oral and written presentations to key stakeholders and the organization regarding key metrics, results and current and trending business conditions to further the achievement of strategic goals. Has the ability to lead and influence across these stakeholders.
  • Develops strategies and direction for the development and application of reporting systems to ensure they support the organization’s strategic objectives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned, takes part in project-based initiatives and conducts ad hoc analysis.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or Information Systems
  • 8 years of experience in positions of increased responsibility in reporting.
  • 3 plus years of management experience with professional-level direct reports.
  • 3 years of recent experience developing complex SQL reports
  • 1-year experience developing reports using Oracle BI Publisher
  • Experience in SmartView
  • Ability to communicate and interpret business requirements
  • Established leadership ability to be able to lead and develop team members to achieve strategic objectives
  • Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in written form.
  • Travel 25% to engage with the business users

  • Timeshare industry experience
  • Public Company financial reporting experience
  • Experience in Hyperion Planning
