The Job
WarnerMedia is a leading media and entertainment company that creates and distributes premium and popular content from a diverse array of talented storytellers and journalists to global audiences through its consumer brands including: HBO, Warner Bros., TNT, TBS, CNN, DC Entertainment, New Line, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Turner Classic Movies, truTV and others. Position: WarnerMedia is seeking a Director, Digital & Corporate Communications. Reporting into the Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications, this role serves as a key corporate communication leader responsible for managing the digital communication touchpoints of the company.
The Daily
- Working with the Senior VP to define, implement and oversee the positioning and promotion of WarnerMedia across the various digital touch points, including WarnerMedia corporate website, press website, social media platforms, blogs and internal podcast.
- Assure consistency across digital communication tools of WarnerMedia entertainment brands by working closely with PR, digital and marketing teams at the various business units.
- Devise departmental tools for seamless sharing of written materials generated by the office of Corporate Communications, including talking points, briefing documents, executive biographies, internal and external communications and Q&As.
- Work with the various functional teams (Corporate Social Responsibility, Diversity and Inclusion, Public Affairs, and other stakeholders) to help shape and publicize the companyâs efforts around diversity, inclusion and representation and other critical topics.
- Collaborating with Corp Comms teams based in other regions or business units to amplify local efforts across WarnerMedia platforms.
- Serving as a liaison with the Human Resources teams of WarnerMedia to help position the company as a desired place of employment by drawing attention to values of the organization and activities that represent them.
- Serving as liaison with AT&T on digital needs from WarnerMedia, from video content to images to marketing material.
- Work closely with entire Corp.
- Comm team to manage key external communications initiatives and activities related to corporate reputation and brand equity.
- Performing other tasks and supporting other company objectives as needed.
The Essentials
- Bachelorâs Degree in Communication, Public Relations, English and/or Journalism
- At least 10 years of professional work experience at a major corporation or a public relations firm where s/he managed the development and implementation of integrated strategic communications and/or external communications plans for large, complex organizations.
- The successful candidate should have significant experience working successfully in social media and communications roles.
- The candidate has demonstrated knowledge, experience and track record developing and executing PR campaigns and activities within the media and entertainment industry
- Must be extremely organized, efficient and able to handle many tasks at once within a strict deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
