Job Summary:
Comcast is looking for a passionate, consumer centric and talented Director of Strategic Insights & Consumer Panel to support our growing Consumer Research & Insights function and ultimately set the organization up to be more Consumer-Centric. This individual will support the Strategic and Consumer Insights team, reporting into the Senior Director of Strategic Insights. This position will work closely and collaboratively with cross-functional partners in Marketing, Strategy, and the Technology and Product Experience teams. The Director will actively enable research-informed decision-making through assessing business problems and crafting a research approach that delivers on actionable insights. The candidate will be responsible for the oversight and management of research conducted within the Xfinity Insights Community, delivering results that address key business questions and needs. The candidate will be working on a variety of topics such as: uncovering consumer needs and pain points, consumer target identification, positioning, packaging, product development, innovation & commercialization and communication. This candidate must a proven track record of inspiring a team in translating insights and implications into actionable business recommendations.

Core Responsibilities:
– Set and proactively drive the strategic short- & long-term vision of the Xfinity Insights Community
- Be an ambassador for the Xfinity Insights Community, identifying opportunities to leverage this asset across the business
- Guide the daily maintenance and long-term growth of the Xfinity Insights community
– Manage the work of, and relationship with, Community vendor- and consulting-partners
- Create Market Research/Consumer Insights roadmap to facilitate research and insight delivery to functions across the organization
- Lead the development and execution of qualitative and quantitative research design, execution and presentation of insights
- Leverage a deep understanding of leading-edge research methodologies and technologies to deliver consumer insights
- Serve as a trusted partner of the key stakeholders aligned with the team (this team member has a seat at the decision-making table, is consulted before aligning on any decisions, and is considered an extension of the business teams)
- Deliver research results, key takeaways, watch-outs, and true insights through a compelling story
- Flawlessly develop and deliver executive-level presentations
- Understand and take the needs of the business into account when making a research or methodology recommendation
- Oversee the work of the Community Operations Manager role
- Successfully lead a diverse range of projects simultaneously; constantly reprioritizing
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.

Job Specification:
- Bachelors Degree or Equivalent
- Generally requires 10+ years related experience (hands-on exploratory, quantitative and qualitative research experience is required)
- Experience with the management and application of a large consumer research panel
- Experience with many different methodologies such as leading Discovery projects as well as experience using new technologies and research methodologies (mobile, video, app-based polls, mobile diaries, etc.)
- Strong sense of urgency to deliver answers and consolidated POVs, working to get in-the-moment insights in order to drive real-time informed decisions
- Has a can-do attitude and proactively comes to any situation with ideas – vs. waiting to be told what the business thinks they want to do
- Experience reporting to diverse stakeholder audiences required
- Experience managing multiple vendor relationships
- A blend of an Attitudinal and Analytical mindset with an understanding of the business landscape
- Must be an independent, strategic, and creative thinker who is a strong team player (no job is too small or too large) and willing to take on additional responsibilities as necessary
- Ability to work in fast-paced ever-changing environment
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-motivation and the ability to juggle an array of tasks and individuals on tight timelines
