The Director is responsible for providing advice and expertise in the areas of schedule and/or damage analysis, including but not limited to delay analysis, acceleration analysis, impact analysis, productivity analysis, claims, cost verification, cost engineering, dispute resolution and litigation support. Directors may also provide expert testimony and technical leadership in analysis tasks. Directors are expected to be an outward face of the firm by participating in marketing and business development initiatives. The Director also assists in staff training, mentoring and development and other operational initiatives, as necessary. This individual must demonstrate management experience, mastery of construction claims analysis techniques and strong client management skills.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Provide leadership and assume primary role in identifying and outlining required scopes and analysis methods
- Outline and simplify findings related to expert analyses and direct the development of related demonstratives
- Author and lead the development of expert reports to be used in litigation
- Serve as the company representative to clients
- Compile and maintain detailed records of work product and supporting documentation
- Identify and pursue membership in relevant industry organizations and pursuit of speaking opportunities where possible
- Contribute to development of marketing materials and proposals as necessary
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelorâs or Masterâs Degree in Business, Engineering or Construction Management
- 10+ years of industry experience specifically in the analysis, development and preparation of construction claims
- PE or CPA certification preferred
- Hold or be willing to acquire industry specific professional certifications (CCP, PSP, CCIFP), as necessary
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Construction field experience encouraged but not required
- Testimony experience and/or the desire and interest to testify is required
- Participation in business development and marketing services to construction attorney, owner, and contractor clientele is required
- Experience with industry software programs such as:
- Summation Pro
- Primavera P3/P6
- Microsoft Office
- Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally (potentially for extended periods of time)
- Experience with coaching and mentoring of team members
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), mathematical and organizational skills;
- Fluency in English required, and other languages strongly considered a plus
