Position Summary:

The Database Operations Manager is primarily responsible for the Information Technology (IT) functions of the organization, especially its Customer-Relationship Management (CRM) system (currently Salesforce). This position also provides support to team members across departments and locations in both IT and general operations. This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer and works closely with all of the Leadership Team members, as well as Department Directors. This is a full-time position located in either our Oakland or Seattle regional offices.

Responsibilities:

Information Technology (IT):

CRM Database (i.e. Salesforce) Management & Administration

  • Create both standardized and custom reports and dashboards to address various department needs.
  • Work with staff and consultants to develop and customize Salesforce and Salesforce-integrated tools (e.g. an online student/parent registration system integrated with Salesforce) that will enhance Techbridge Girls’ work.
  • Identify staff training needs and provide ongoing training as needed.
  • Build out training documents and guidelines for Salesforce and other IT platforms.
  • Drive organizational-wide compliance and best practice usage of Techbridge Girls’ various IT tools.
  • Manage the data entry workflow.
  • Data entry, as needed.

Other IT Responsibilities:

IT Strategy

  • Oversee, identify, recommend, and implement solutions for using technology to streamline and support the work of all departments and ensure greater efficiency and communication across the organization.
  • Potential IT solutions include password management, attendance tracking systems for youth programs, e-learning platforms, and more.IT Support:
  • Manage the relationship with the Managed Services Providers (MSP) that support all technology including computers/networks, website, video conferencing, etc.
  • Be the first point of internal contact and provide technical assistance for staff with IT needs; act as primary liaison with the MSP as appropriate, and escalate issues to other vendors as needed.
  • On-board and off-board staff with all IT-related needs, including training
  • IT equipment management.
  • Review, develop, and implement IT guidelines; devise new organizational IT systems as needed.
  • Other IT responsibilities, as needed.

National Operations:

  • Assist with updating and creating general operations-related manuals/policies, as needed.
  • Assume a proactive role in increasing the efficiency of operations.
  • Other operations-related duties, as needed, including (but not limited to): insurance, contract management, and HR onboarding and offboarding.

Qualifications:

  • College degree preferred.
  • Minimum 1+ years of experience working with Salesforce applications and related environments.
  • Excellent computer and computing technology skills, both in user and super-user environments.
  • Ability to translate business jargon into simple and easy-to-understand language.
  • Strong communication skills, an expert at keeping all stakeholders informed and up-to-date.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, outside clients, and vendors.
  • Preference for previous operational experience in a nonprofit environment.
  • Preference for background in vendor management and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail. Proven record of follow-through on assigned tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interest in developing and managing processes.
  • Passion for the Techbridge Girls’ mission.

This is a full-time position based out of Techbridge Girls’ Oakland or Seattle office. Techbridge Girls offers a competitive salary and benefits, commensurate with experience and skills.
