RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Duties: Vice President with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Seattle, Washington within Investment Management Division (IMD) Technology responsible for: interacting with users of the Private Wealth Management (PWM) systems, in particular the systems responsible for facilitating functionality around managing and transfer of cash/ security assets; handling escalations of production issues or queries that might arise out of these systems; designing, developing, and testing of applications and processes to cater to evolving requirements of the business/operations/ compliance groups; coordinating with other engineering teams, both across and outside the business unit as needed, to build comprehensive business solutions for PWM clients and users of the systems in the areas of cash management and transfer of assets; contributing toward departmental activities including training, recruitment, and providing guidance on key technical/architecture issues/challenges in the department; and mentoring and coaching other members of the global team.

Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related position. Prior experience must include four (4) years of experience with programming in Java and related technologies to build enterprise-grade applications. Prior experience must also include three (3) years of experience with: performing end-to-end software development, including design, development, automated testing, and deployment; and interacting with various business, operations and engineering teams to understand and negotiate the requirements and project schedules. Prior experience must include two (2) years of experience with: working with RDBMS and SQL technologies with a focus on high-performance query optimization for enterprise relational databases such as Sybase ASE or DB2; leading software development projects and working with global development teams; setting design patterns, programming using Object Oriented languages and applying best practices of coding; and working concurrently on multiple technical projects. Prior experience must include one (1) year of experience with: supporting a Private Wealth Management business and various key functions/flows from an information technology perspective.
