We are seeking an Area Vice President, Named Accounts to join and lead our rapidly expanding SLED (State/Local/Education) team in the North American market. In this role you will lead a group of Regional Sales Directors and corresponding sales teams focused on driving customer engagement and growth of our business. You will play a hands-on role both within the field sales organization and internally as the national leader of this important vertical. It is a highly visible position, including direct customer facing participation in closing deals at key accounts. This role will report to the Vice President, North America Field Sales, Named Accounts.
Details of the Role
- Leadership of a team of dedicated Sales Directors who lead regional sales teams throughout the US.
- Responsible for driving overall revenue growth of the US SLED vertical.
- Recruit, Coach and Develop our next generation leaders.
- Develop strategic plan with tactical execution to drive growth in new and existing customers to gain market share from the competition.
- Establish and maintain key customer relationships.
- Develop and implement strategies for expanding customer base.
- Execute on a partner plan to drive incremental revenue through the channel.
- Partner with Sales Engineering, Professional Services, Marketing, and Support to close deals, drive revenue and adoption.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience successfully leading high performing field sales teams spread over a large geography.
- Experience selling to State / Local / K-12 and Higher Education customers.
- Understanding of government procurement processes.
- Strong knowledge of new and current technologies and trends in the Cyber Security landscape.
- Strong contacts in the prospective customer and influencer communities
- Strong business acumen with the ability to create a business plan, build a strong business pipeline, accurately forecast and close business.
- Experience building demand generation plans with marketing
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with ability to conduct sales presentations and interact effectively with internal and external customers at all levels.
- Relationships with key channel and technology partners focused on the SLED space.
- Ability to Travel > 50% location US near major metro airport
