Agile Coach/Scrum Master Position Summary:
Our client is currently searching for an Agile Coach to join their team. The ideal candidate will provide support to transform customer programs from a traditional waterfall development framework to an agile environment. The candidate will assist in modernizing customer business practices and processes. Apply deep knowledge of agile techniques and principles behind them, broad experience from multiple organizations, an impartial perspective to be an effective change agent. Support will include direct coaching and On the Job Training (OJT) to reinforce skills and help institutionalize processes.
Candidate will support teams with launching Agile Release Trains (ARTs) and building a Continuous Delivery Pipeline with a DevOps culture. The candidate will support and execute PI Planning events, coordinate multiple ARTs and coordinate enterprise solutions.
Candidate may be required to work at:
– Team level, working to ensure that delivery teams within the customer organization are adopting adopting technical best practices and performing effectively;
– All levels to ensure that organizations adopt a pragmatic approach to the way in which they govern delivery and continuous improvement of digital services.
Agile Coach/Scrum Master Position Responsibilities:
- Process Coaching
- Review client’s current program business practices, principles and processes.
- Conduct “business-gap” analysis on areas within programs to define current “as-is” business practices and “to-be” agile practices; include suggested changes for each program to be accepted and implemented by the client.
- Actively assist program personnel in applying and adapting Agile processes throughout programs.
- Identify and report risks and issues, on a regular and/or as-needed basis, that constrain the program Agile teams from effectively and quickly delivering functionality that adds business value to the organization.
- Conduct coaching meetings with branch and division managers to support business improvement practices.
Agile Coach/Scrum Master Position Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing agile coaching engagements for mid- to senior-level professionals, emerging leaders and first-time managers.
- Experience transforming initiatives and organizations at all levels to deliver lasting change within agencies that focus on delivering value.
- Must hold a valid and verifiable Agile Coaching certification (or equivalent) certification from an industry recognized agile coach training organization (ICAgile, Agile Alliance, PMI or Scrum Alliance). SAFe® 4 Program Consultant (SPC) certification preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree OR 5 years of relevant experience.
