Position Summary:

The Administrator/, Laboratory Services is responsible for the planning, direction, and coordination of services, quality, programs and activities of MultiCare’s Laboratory Services within MultiCare Health System. This is a Network position responsible to ensure the program, policies, technology, and procedures used by all MHS laboratory services are aligned to support the overall MultiCare System mission and goals. Work situations are varied and frequently non-routine requiring leadership, strategizing, complex data analysis, problem solving, decision-making, independent judgment, prioritization, and organization. The Administrator/ COO must facilitate a collaborative team that provides user-friendly services to patients, payers, physicians and other health care professionals in an increasingly regulated and complex environment. The Administrator/ COO must build relationships with regions and departments that set and achieve shared outcomes. This leader must constantly seek opportunities to link and coordinate with internal MultiCare departments, services and staff to streamline the flow of patients through the system and ensure a seamless experience at MultiCare. This is a highly collaborative position impacting services in the inpatient, ambulatory and physician practice settings. This role interacts extensively with physicians, clinical leadership, care line administrators, hospital administration and other internal departments and disciplines.


Minimum Requirements:

Ten (10+) years of laboratory leadership experience in progressively more responsible positions
Multi-hospital system experience preferred

Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Public Health, or related field required
