Rappahannock Community College invites applications for WIOA Adult and Dislocated Worker Services Case Manager #R0009, to recruit, register, monitor progress and follow up with adults eligible for WIOA Adult and Dislocated Worker Services.

This position is responsible for recruiting adults for services under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA); building and maintaining partnerships with local organizations to recruit eligible adults to ensure enrollment goals are met; facilitating career readiness workshops, assisting with job search activities and working with the WDB Business Services Coordinator to place eligible adults in work opportunities and/or on-the-job training opportunities. This position coordinates with local agencies and employers to assist adults in program activities that support performance measures under WIOA, develops customized plans for each adult served, monitors individual progress toward goals, maintains accurate records for all adults in accordance with prescribing regulations, updates the state management information system, calculates performance measures, and assists in developing strategies to meet performance goals.

This is a grant-funded position; continuation of position is contingent upon grant funding (current grant is funded through June 30, 2020). Position will work from the Middlesex Department of Social Services Office Complex.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education, training and experience. Cultural sensitivity and considerable experience working with diverse individuals. Detail oriented. Demonstrated knowledge of data entry and various databases.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in WIOA programs and/or WIOA eligible individuals. Experience with Peoplesoft, VaWC and database management.
