About the role:

We are currently looking to fill the following position:

Vice President, Solution Consulting

The Vice President, Solution Consulting, will report directly to the CRO and will work closely with the Sales organization, as well as Product Development and Product Management teams to establish sales approaches and lead technical presentations to prospects, clients, and company associates. The Vice President, Solution Consulting will gather requirements, competitive intelligence, and client feedback from the Solution Consulting team, ensuring our success against assigned targets annually.

The selection criteria shall focus on an individual with deep industry experience, technical skills, excellent written and oral presentation skills and a demonstrated ability to successfully work as a trusted advisor to ensure the success of Insurity’s current and future clients. This person must have a strong background in software, technical demo development, as well as management of teams of solution consultants/engineers, and product management experience. Travel will be required, and the location of the selected candidate is flexible although preferred that the candidate works out of one of Insurity’s major office locations.


What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead and drive all activities for our Solution Consulting team.
  • Partner closely with the Sales, Product Development, Product Management, and Professional Services leadership to meet the company’s business objectives and ensure the successful sale and deployment of applications across all software solutions, markets, and client personas.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for industry analyst’s relationship management and development.
  • Manage client and analyst RFP processes and responses.
  • Maintain product documentation, competitive intelligence, and supporting sales enablement tools.
  • Recruit, develop, improve, and maintain the Solution Consulting organization and processes to meet and exceed the company’s sales goals.
  • Plan and manage the team resources, ensuring they are efficiently deployed to support a broad range of client and partner needs.
  • Understand and communicate technical issues and enhancement requests from clients back to technical support, product management, and R&D.
  • Perform strategic win/loss analysis to optimize sales execution and drive product improvements.
  • Personally engage with key clients and accounts to establish relationships with senior and executive management.
  • Provide product and solutions training and education to sales and other areas of the company as needed.
  • Participate in industry events/organizations as a thought leader and promote products/business solutions at conferences, forums, and seminars.
  • Report on sales activities, client initiatives, and product requirements
  • Work with functional team leaders to align Sales Consulting strategy and cross-functional processes across the company


What you’ll need:

  • 15+ years of equivalent experience in sales engineering/solution consulting, systems engineering, and/or product management
  • Proven leadership skills with 10+ years managerial experience, including demonstrated success in hiring, motivating, and retaining teams around the globe
  • Demonstrated success working with national and global insurance companies
  • Established customer relationship and people skills as well as excellent written communication and presentation skills
  • Results-oriented manager with a demonstrable achievement of success
  • Relentless desire to delight customers and partners
  • Ability to influence technical decision-makers, executives, and industry analysts through technical presentations and business case creation
