Superior Nut & Candy Co., Inc. is seeking a Vice President of Operations to join their team! This position will play a pivotal role ensuring manufacturing operations are meeting business objectives.

- Single warehouse operations located in the industrial district of Chicago,
- Leader in the nut, trail mixes and chocolate coatings categories,
- In a position to DOUBLE in size in the next 5 years.
Position Overview:
- Reporting to the President, the VP of Operations will lead and direct manufacturing operations, to obtain optimum productivity, while reaching strategic business goals and forecasts.
- Supervise, but also collaborate with Manufacturing/Production, Maintenance, Warehousing, Food Quality/Safety/Sanitation, Purchasing and R&D to promote the ambitions and goals set by the team.
General Responsibilities:
- Oversee manufacturing operations to maximize efficiency of manpower and machinery and ensure established cost standards are met while satisfying the order and forecast requirements.
- Actively drive and promote a culture of continuous improvement regarding production capacity and efficiency, maintenance efficiency, warehouse capacity and efficiency, and quality improvements.
- Engage and mentor employees (at all levels) in the initiation, development and refinement of continuous and improved processes.
Required Experience:
- Bachelorâs degree in Management or Engineering.
- A minimum of 8-10 years of progressive operational experience in food manufacturing industry.
- Proven ability to 1. think analytically and 2. effectively problem solve
- Proven ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Work independently, but also collaboratively across all functional areas of the company
