The Center for Women and Families is seeking a Vice President of Development who can collaborate and guide projects, teams, and supporters while continuing to develop expertise in the craft of development at our organization. You will be an innovative team member who’s both an externally-facing relationship manager as well as an internally-facing team leader. You’ll motivate, coach, and manage a team that supports all fundraising activities including acquisition, stewardship, data and communications for donors as well as fundraising and cultivation events. You’re more than capable of cultivating beneficial relationships. You’ll work closely with CEOs, board members, philanthropists, influencers, and other diverse personalities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Work with the President/CEO to develop and implement relationship-specific strategies for individuals, corporations and private foundations, including cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of donors, to both deepen The Center’s relationships with its donors and broaden the base of support.
- Assertively cultivate, solicit and steward a portfolio of donors.
- Lead Board of Director engagement in fund development efforts through Board Committees and individual relationships.
- Oversee execution of large annual fundraiser and other strategic events.
- Lead staff engagement in fund-development efforts.
- Strategize with key staff and board members on creative ways to sustainably finance the organization.
- Ensure department practices and values are in line with Trauma-Informed Care practices as appropriate.???????
REQUIREMENTS:
The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience
5-7 years in non-profit leadership roles
Experience communicating about and with diverse populations
Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a driving record that meets CWF automobile insurance requirements
Must pass criminal background and motor vehicle check, post-contingent of offer of employment.
A candidate with experience in implementing large-scale fundraising campaigns and using Raiser’s Edge and Luminate is preferred.
