BacklotCars is currently seeking a Vehicle Arbitration Manager to join our Arbitration team. We are an online marketplace for auto dealers and our platform is changing the way dealers buy/sell wholesale vehicles. This person will be responsible for the resolution of customers discrepancies on all mechanically related vehicle issues post sale and is responsible for the timely and successful resolution of the arbitration on vehicles.

What You’ll Do:

  • Review and assess mechanical issues brought to our attention from buyers who purchase vehicles on our platform
  • Listen to customer’s description of symptoms in order to understand and clarify the mechanical issue
  • Responsible for learning and applying company policies to resolve arbitration in a timely and equitable manner
  • Verify and confirm vehicle condition data from vehicle inspection reports
  • Mediate dispute and negotiate repair and/or pricing of disputed vehicles in order

to arrive at a mutually agreeable solution in order to keep vehicles sold.

  • Document and maintain accurate files for each arbitration case.
  • Work with and across all departments in order to achieve successful resolution of claim

What You’ll Need:

  • Minimum of 5 years of automotive, mechanical or body shop experience required with complaint recording, documentation and resolution preferred
  • Positive Attitude, great follow-up, basic computer/ writing skills and being a team player are a must
  • Strong customer service focus with excellent communication skills
  • Proficient use of CRM software
