The VDC Assistant Project Manager is responsible for facilitating an exceptional project execution and client experience. This position supports the entire ZELUS organization through the VDC Division and reports directly to the Director of VDC.

Primary Objective

To meet project execution expectations and provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Support of business development activities, project proposals, change orders, RFI’s, estimates and scoping.

Develop, implement and manage project execution plans, including but not limited to:

Ensuring scope is clearly documented, understood and executed throughout the project lifecycle.

Coordinating and attending regular meetings with stakeholders to manage scope, schedule and budget.

Leading a team of internal and/or external support personnel to meet project milestones.

Maintaining quality control and assurance.

Review and report out internally and externally on project performance.

Support finance to ensure billings and receivables are as expected.

Maintain positive client and vendor relationships.

Keep record of all communications related to project scope, conflicts, inconsistencies and any other potential liability or experience issue.

Facilitate effective client communication.

Diligent performance of administrative responsibilities.

Physical Requirements (including, but not limited to):

  • Lift up to 50 pounds: Raising objects/equipment from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position.

  • Climbing: Ascending or descending ladders IAW OSHA guidelines, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.

  • Balancing: Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling and walking, standing or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces.

  • Wearing Personal Protection Equipment: Hard hats, steel toe boots, clean suits, able to wear fall protection harness and lanyard, heavy protection equipment

  • Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.

  • Crouching: Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine

  • Standing for long periods of time

  • Walking at a fast pace

  • Working swing shifts (before or after normal business hours)

  • Able to work in inside and outside conditions

  • Able to work in close quarters
