Position Summary

The IT Project Management Scrum Master, is responsible for providing leadership and direction to personnel engaged in planning, implementing, testing, and monitoring of computer systems and software including relevant business process and activities. He/she is recognized as an expert in Agile methodologies and Project Management. Provide IT project and backlog planning, coordination and reporting. Work collaboratively with business and IT staff. Manage vendor activities. Lead efforts defining and implementing new software systems, enhancements to existing system and process improvements as needed using Agile methodologies. Provide end user support as required.

Responsibilities

  • Manages backlog for continuous improvement enhancements.
  • Supports and educates product owners and product managers, with respect to refining and managing the product backlog and decision making.
  • Leads/Facilitates Scrum (Sprint/Kanban) ceremonies which include daily stand up, sprint planning, sprint reviews with demo and retrospective.
  • Lead testing efforts and define deployment and cutover plans.
  • The Scrum Master facilitates the Agile methodology and activities, manages, leads and directs the work efforts of resources that are functionally aligned as part of the project team
  • Ensures effective communication within and across teams and Projects; schedules and facilitates cross-functional meetings, and ensures appropriate progress tools and reports effectively provide transparency on team’s or Projects progress/productivity.
  • Manage the coordination of project activities with business owners/stakeholders and project team. Communicate with all project stakeholders effectively as needed.
  • Plan and manage Agile projects including requirements gathering, defining deliverables, work breakdown structures, effort estimates and project schedules.
  • Oversee development and or integration efforts.
  • Create project, risk mitigation, and communication plans, identify resource requirements, identify project costs, and create other project deliverables.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Certified Scrum Master

Preferred Skills and Competencies:

  • Understands release-when ready, test-driven development, continuous integration, product demonstration and other technical engineering practices and guides team on leveraging them.
  • Action oriented self-starter who can drive complex projects with minimal guidance/oversight
  • Strong functional business knowledge including Quality, CRM, Supply Chain and Operations
  • Familiar with managing and updating Jira boards.
  • Understand the fundamentals of Scrum (Sprint/Kanban) methodologies.
  • Understanding of the General Data Protection regulation.
  • Ability to be empathetic, yet firm, with challenging customers, and to be persistent in reminding both customers and implementers of outstanding action items.
  • Good judgement and the capacity to independently evaluate situations and identify the optimum course of action
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple teams, on concurrent projects
  • Understanding of ETL solutions and web services is a plus
  • Extremely organized with excellent communication, influencing and negotiating skills. Solid presentation and facilitations skills
  • Ability to review project deliverables for completeness, quality, and compliance with established project standards
  • Experience with SDLC processes and business analysis methodologies
  • MS Office, Project, SharePoint
