Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage effective cross-team management of program, value-stream and team objectives
- Lead teams through the full Scrum lifecycle, including backlog creation, user stories, as well as facilitate daily scrums, sprint reviews, demos, sprint planning, and retrospectives
- Coach & mentor business and IT on effective Agile execution
- Remove impediments across Scrum teams by finding the right personnel to remove blocks
- Guide and coach Scrum teams on how to best use Agile/Scrum practices and values to deliver high-quality software
- Track organizational metrics for teams, including burndowns, velocity and capacity, used to better facilitate team’
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate leadership in Product Owner and Scrum Master communities of practice while contributing meaningfully to the overall maturity of the organizational deployment of the roles
- Assess the Agile maturity of the team/organization and coach to higher levels of maturity
- Assist with communication of team progress internally and externally, improve transparency to the business and organization gaining overall business trust
- Assist with discussion, decision-making and conflict resolution
- Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on team problem solving and success
Experience:
- One or more years acting as Scrum Master of software development teams.
- Lean/Six Sigma experience preferred
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
- Agile certification in Scrum Master, Agile, Product Ownership– CSM, PSM, CSPO, etc.
