Project Superintendent/Project Manager

Veritas Construction is seeking highly motivated, A-Players for project management roles in the Central Texas area. Project Superintendent Objectives:

• Complete projects on time and under budget!
• Effectively communicate desired outcomes to subcontractors, suppliers and trade partners
• Ensure specifications and quality standards are met
• Ensure that subcontractor is fully executing and complying with his contracted scope of work.
• Monitor and coordinate daily activities and progress and as they relate to the project and the schedule and make adjustments to schedule as necessary to maintain desired outcome

Responsibilities:

• Manage day to day project responsibilities from subcontractor supervision, OSHA compliance, Scheduling, City and/or county inspection coordination, etc.
• Perform quality control daily inspections with subcontractors and vendors.
• Supervise and ensure project is being built to construction plans and specifications.
• Identify construction plan and site condition issues and submit RFI’s as required to project team.
• Maintain a daily jobsite log.
• Maintain strict compliance to construction schedule and make changes as necessary to ensure deadlines are met.
• Maintain timely communication as required with internal Project Management team, Landlord and City officials as required.
• Solicit bids for labor, equipment, and materials as required.
• Ability to read and fully comprehend detailed and complex construction plans, drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
• Possess a strong work ethic, good organizations skills and above all integrity.
• Must be able to self-motivate and motivate subcontractors / vendors.
• Possess a professional demeanor, with ability to maintain good working relationships with peers, supervisors, clients and regulators.
• Possess strong negotiating and problem solving skills.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in commercial construction, preferably from the area
• Bachelor’s degree in construction science preferred, but not required
• Must be able to read, understand, and communicate plans, specifications, and details
• Tech savvy & computer literate
• Scheduling experience (Microsoft Project)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $60,000.00 to $90,000.00 /year
