Furniture Medic in Chestnut Ridge is an individually owned and operated franchise, specializing in wood restoration services for the commercial, residential and insurance industries. We are currently experiencing sustained business growth, and we are looking to add more depth of experience and leadership in our technical crew.
The Shop Project Manager is a hands-on position, combining your technical experience with your ability to organize and lead a team of technicians on multiple jobs, both in shop and on-site. The duties of your position will vary day by day, depending upon the needs of our scheduled jobs. You will be involved in helping us schedule incoming jobs, ordering products and supplies, organizing for the day’s jobs and pitching in with your wood restoration and/or cabinetry skills, as needed. Larger jobs will need special oversight to ensure we stay on track, and all jobs, large and small, should be completed on time and with the highest quality and customer satisfaction. This is the perfect job for a high energy, enthusiastic individual who has great technical and organizational skills and the ability to share your skills and enthusiasm with your crew.
What we require:
- Previous experience as a team lead or supervisor
- Ability to mentor and develop skills in others
- Ability to set up work systems on-site and in our shop to increase productivity
- Ability to find creative solutions when unexpected problems occur
- A passion for quality control and customer service
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and a background check
- Ability to lift 30 lbs.
