In addition, this team supports the strategy and philanthropic giving of The Starbucks Foundation, which was created in 1997 as part of our promise to strengthen the communities in which we operate and source from. This role supports how The Starbucks Foundation advances our social impact priorities and deepens connections between partners and the communities we serve.
As a project manager on the Global Social Impact team, you will support The Starbucks Foundation’s philanthropic giving: executing grant management processes and systems; setting up reporting requirements; tracking financial stewardship of grantees; managing accurate, timely and complete records ensuring proper governance and impact reporting; maintaining relationships with a sub-set of critical grantees and grantmaking intermediaries; and performing day-to-day administrative tasks in support of the Foundation’s operations.
In addition, as a Global Social Impact project manager you will:
  • Work cross-functionally to drive close coordination across Foundation portfolio managers and other support teams;
  • prepare presentations for executives as it relates to the Foundation;
  • coordinate a subset of grant cycles and manage key stakeholder relationships.

We’d love to hear from people with:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of regulations and best practices specific to U.S. and International grants management (5 years experience)
  • Relationship management with nonprofit stakeholders (5 years’ experience)
  • Relationship management, cross-functionally, in large-multinational companies or organizations
  • Organizing, and inspiring cross-functional teams/groups
  • Experience with database management and systems administration required
  • Strong written and verbal presentation skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required
  • Exceptional excel and PowerPoint skills, with experience in creating executive presentations
  • Ability to navigate large, matrixed organizational environment is essential
  • Strong decision-making skills and professional maturity is essential
