Project Manager – Data & Digital Platform

Description

• Build understanding of industry data trends; ODI/CDM & Cloud Information Model with dealer community.
• Guide dealers on the establishment of industry standard data models using industry standards.
• Work with dealers to develop a Dealer Data Management strategy aligned with Caterpillar & the Industry
• Act as the platform and data SME for Dealer Excellence program support
• Work with dealers and DSDs to develop, enhance, extend, and deliver quality data.
• Convey Caterpillar Enterprise Data Strategy and the supporting Dealer Data Strategy and position HELIOS
• Show how Caterpillar uses & protects Dealer Data to support Digital, APIs & transactional systems

• Manage/execute project, facilitate stand-up meetings, coordinate/facilitate data and technical workshops, track deliverable execution, risks and issues management, and produce dashboards.
• Connectivity Vendor management; engagement, governance, performance, task completion.
• Bridge / translator between technical and business side of dealership to articulate the business value and requirements of the data and digital platform.
• Understand and convey the Caterpillar digital portfolio and the key interdependencies on the Helios platform.
• Understand and communicate business implications of different technical options and data structures be able to present them to the business for evaluation for best fit technologies for their business needs.
• Ability to coordinate multiple groups and maintain alignment across cross functional teams to achieve deliverables and project goals.
• Develop triage management process within the dealership to maintain channel issues appropriately.
• Should have a technical IT background or experience working with interface deployment between Caterpillar and Dealership
• Understanding of Dealership Systems landscapes. I would like the person to be able to describe that a dealer would use an ERP, Rental, CRM and Mobile Apps ( this would lead the candidate having an understanding on where data in a dealership may come from.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• 4-year degree from an accredited college or university in STEM
• 3+ years of Deploying Digital Solutions across business units, industries and/or Dealers
• 5+ years of progressively responsible job-related IT experience
• 5+ years of progressively responsible project management, team leader or technical leadership

experience

• Master’s in STEM
• Demonstrated proficiency in leading and facilitating meetings is highly desire
• IT applications and/or infrastructure experience highly desired
• Strong project management skills, team leadership skills, excellent communication skills, strong

• Excellent interpersonal skills to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, or influence others

inside and outside the department to take specific actions.

• Strong communication skills capable of communicating with senior management, senior dealer

personnel, and technical experts
