Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and provide expert process and project management guidance to highly visible, and multi faceted Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS), and Quality Management efforts providing the most suitable solution(s) for member/patient increased access to quality healthcare;
- Analyze collected health data from members/patients of MedPOINT Management products comparing them with Health Plan, State (California Department of Healthcare Services), and National (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services) Trends;
- Create disease surveillance tools from analysis of health data gathered from MedPOINT member/patient population and literature reviews on the related subject matter;
- Develop training programs based on products/projects which accurately reflect valid public health;
- Concerns of MedPOINT Management’s underserved Medicaid member/patient population;
- Personally engage, monitor, and drive the implementation of new client (Medical Groups/IPAs, Hospitals and Health Plans) products and reporting progress to all internal and external stakeholders;
- Present and implement best practice workflows to the client (Medical Groups/IPAs, Hospitals and Health Plans), and appropriately respond to clients ‘ needs;
- Work closely with business and IT cross-functional teams to define the project parameters and develop detailed project documentation to include project plans, workflows, and business requirements for achieving most effective and efficient member/patient healthcare delivery;
- Support established committees by organizing and publishing agendas, documenting minutes, maintaining work plans, performing follow up, preparing, and publishing reports;
- Provide input into designing strategies for alignment with business unit goals and objectives;
- Attend a variety of administrative meetings to provide and receive input concerning provider network management activities for the organization;
- Prioritize, distribute, track, and develop action plans to ensure timely completion of special projects;
- Conduct project evaluations and assessment of results and provide findings to all stakeholders.
Minimum Job Requirements
- Master’s degree in Public Health or related plus 2 years experience as Project Manager – Epidemiology or related.
