The Division of Engineering Services (Contracting Services) seeks an enthusiastic and motivated Project Manager 1 to join the Consultant Services team. This position provides many challenging opportunities in multiple areas related to transportation contracting, specifically consultant contracting. Our preferred candidate is someone with a background in transportation and who likes working with diverse stakeholders in a culture that promotes innovation and collaboration. This position will work closely with many diverse groups that include local, state, federal and private organizations to solve problems and develop processes to enhance current workflow, operations and compliance for our internal and external stakeholders and partners. The selected candidate must be a self-starter and be able to work both independently and as a team member to achieve goals.
This position is based at the ITD Headquarters building in Boise, Idaho.
Example of Duties
- Develops, manages and implements improvement projects related to Qualification Based Selection through research, collaboration and communication.
- Administers, updates and oversees overarching stewardship agreements with external parties;
- Plans, organizes and leads productive meetings with internal and external stakeholders to ensure positive outcomes and goal progress;
- Prepares agreements ,contracts, and technical /financial reports and correspondence for diverse audiences and
- Approves funding by certifying accuracy and eligibility of expenditures on Federal Aid projects.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience
- Planning and implementing projects including coordinating the development of project scope, goals, work plans, timelines, implementation strategies, and measurement processes/methods for assessing progress toward goals and project outcomes;
- Interpreting and explaining specialized or complex material into information usable by the public;
- Developing and monitoring contracts.
