In this role, you will you will ensure compliance to domestic and international standards set forth by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) through the National Incident Management System (NIMS), the World Health Organization (WHO), United Nations Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA), SPHERE and will be asked to lead, mentor, or support all aspects of TR’s disaster efforts, from training, to planning, to on-scene operations. You will also be responsible for day-to-day leadership of the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) teams to identify potential deployment opportunities, activate the EOC, and deploy Team Rubicon Greyshirts.

Duties:
- Maintain situational awareness and a unified common operating picture
- Cultivate and engage high-performing/mission-critical teams in conjunction with the IMT Chief, Ops Support team, the Medical Director, and Medical Operations/Planning Leads
- Consistently research and provide gap analysis for domestic and international capabilities
- Coordinate and ensure execution of After Action Reports in order to capture and implement organizational learning from disaster response operations and exercise scenarios
- Assist in the planning of operations in all phases of the disaster cycle
- Lead the planning section in delivery of products to maintain relationships with NGOs, IGOs, United Nations, Nation-State, partners, private organizations, federal agencies, and state agencies in support of domestic and international disaster operations
- Lead the EOC during activations
Experience and Background:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in the military, non-profit, emergency management, or related field
- 4+ years of relevant overseas experience (International Program, international humanitarian coordination, IGO deployments) preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in emergency management, international relations, or related field; or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated leadership success as a business unit leader
- Understanding of and/or first-hand experience with TR’s disaster response history and capabilities preferred
