Brightstar is currently searching for an Operations Manager for Nexlink, a Brightstar Company.
In this role you will be responsible for managing the day to day activities of the hourly employees. The Operations Manger will report to the Director of Remanufacturing.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for 5 supervisors, each carrying a team of 20-30 people, plus any team leads and support staff
  • Focused area with multiple shifts or across one shift with multiple areas
  • Complexity or Volume of Processes
  • Accountable for ensuring that production scheduled for completion is executed in a timely manner and within all quality parameters
  • Assemble, configure, test and pack products as required by predetermined specifications
  • Ensure the safety, productivity, quality outputs and morale of all employees assigned to designated area and shift is maximized
  • Use methods to identify/recommend resource requirements including staffing levels to meet service levels and get the job done efficiently
  • Act within level of authority to order required resources using approved processes
  • Work with external resource providers to ensure relationships are meeting their objectives
  • Report as required in respect to area performance, understand trends, root causes and remediation approaches
  • Goal setting and performance management of team leaders and their teams
  • Ensure security of facilities in designated area and generally during designated shift hours
  • Enforce all safety requirements, processing procedures and company policies
  • Onboard and oversee training of new employees and coach existing employees
  • Maintain accurate daily reporting to ensure the operation is on target to meet goals with resolution for any area falling short of the goal
  • Maintain a clean and safe work place in accordance with Brightstar protocol
  • Participate in the investigation, action tracking and completion of all incidents Quality, OSHA, Security and People Leadership
  • Hold weekly meetings with direct management reports to review/establish accomplishments and goals
  • Evaluate current procedures and bring forward recommendations for increasing efficiency and cost-savings of the operation
  • Provide updates to Managers as requested
  • Perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates
