Under minimal supervision, the OnCore Program Manager will implement a new Clinical Trials Management System, OnCore, and will collaborate with end users, technical support, key stakeholders, and organization leadership to ensure the system and processes are setup to support research operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the project from initiation and planning through execution. The individual in this role will need to have the ability to drive task completion, monitor resource allocation, track issue resolution, and enforce timeline and scope adherence during the implementation. The project manager will collaborate with the project team, project sponsor, subject matter experts, and leadership team to ensure a successful implementation. This role requires project management experience with medium to large-scale implementation projects.

Responsibilities

  • Organize data into pertinent reports and generate metrics.
  • Work on multiple projects under strict deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, judgment, and diplomacy required to interact effectively with a broad spectrum of people, both individually and in groups.
  • Strong understanding of the components of web applications.
  • Work effectively and collaboratively with minimum direction.
  • Establish effective, ongoing relationships with clients, staff and management.
  • Manage multiple competing priorities and work under pressure in high stress situations.
  • Understand research protocol and clinical trial agreements, financial budgets and fees associated with the research.
  • Define and implement plans for pre-go-live data validation of migrated data with study teams and administrative offices.
  • Lead onsite and offsite meetings and training events.
  • Work with teams to review and validate application configuration options and lead workflow and process development conversations

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related area or equivalency (2 years related work experience may be substituted for 1 year of education). Four to six years of progressively more responsible management experience. Background knowledge of hiring department’s area of specialization in order to analyze, plan and draw conclusions for recommendations to superiors. Demonstrated leadership skills in planning and directing employees and processes in order to effectively monitor and develop subordinates and to ensure the smooth operation of department. Completion of provided supervisory training within one year of employment may be required. Master’s degree in a related area may be preferred.

Preferences

Experience in the clinical research field and applications, including familiarity with the IRB process, and with the clinical research life-cycle. Previous experience working with a CTMS, preferably OnCore from Forte systems. Previous software implementation experience, Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or proven project management experience preferred.

Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to write clearly and concisely, communicate complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical users, and generate quality documentation.

Experience managing medium to large-scale implementation projects using a standard project management methodology.

Knowledgeable in the use of information technology. Demonstrate accountability in project ownership and solution oriented work approach. Experience identifying and implementing process improvements. Proven organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Self-starter with a flexible attitude and ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
