Montessori Program Director (1 position)
Summary of Position: The Director is accountable for the operations and activities of this new Montessori program, in keeping with the mission and vision of the school. Ability to guide/ direct, monitor and supervise any age group of students utilizing prescribed Montessori training and techniques. Assist with Montessori Teacher training and development.
Responsibilities: Program Director responsibilities include â
- Taking a leadership role in building a strong Montessori community of faculty, staff, and families by establishing and maintaining positive relationships and open communication
- Supporting classroom guides in the development and implementation of the Montessori blend in with the STEAM curriculum and assisting them to succeed in the 21st-century world
- Leading and managing school operations, including preparing and adhering to an annual budget, while ensuring compliance with state and federal education regulations.
- Responding promptly and professionally to concerns, including offering constructive solutions to address issues.
- Managing faculty and personnel including hiring, revising contracts, evaluating performance, coordinating roles and job descriptions.
- Planning and implementing professional development including staff development days, and Montessori training programs
- Leadership through a positive, honest and transparent management style.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in education or a related field is required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in early childhood education required, with a preference for a school leadership philosophy in line with the principles of education represented by Association Montessori International (AMI) or AMS.
- Previous experience with school leadership, classroom teaching, school operations, and community building are required.
- Candidates are expected to work collaboratively as part of a diverse team and possess deep knowledge and understanding of child development.
