Description
Seeking a Finance Manager who will be a valuable member and thought leader for the Corporate FP&A team. This role reports into the Director of Corporate FP&A and will work closely with the CFO, Business Unit financial leads, and other business leaders within Finance and across functions.
The role will be responsible for providing a variety of services to support accurate budgeting, forecasting, and tracking of financial performance across the enterprise, including but not limited to the following:
- Becoming a subject matter expert of all relevant indirect rates (Wrap, G&A, overhead, etc.) and owning the companyâs indirect rate structure
- Identifying and implementing opportunities to simplify the calculation, forecasting, and monitoring of rates at various levels, and taking a proactive approach to training others on our rate structure
- Taking an active role in ensuring data integrity and the quality of our various financial tools and reports
- Providing system support when necessary to ensure smooth and timely execution of monthly actuals and reporting of financial results
- Actively assisting in the selection and implementation of any new ERP and forecasting tools, ensuring a seamless transition to updated systems, reports, and processes
- Authoring a quarterly report highlighting the financial status of our organization, for distribution to the executive leadership team and Board of Trustees
- Providing stability and leadership to the Corporate FP&A team as we seek to drive continued innovation and efficiencies into all aspects of the business
Qualifications
A successful candidate requires a strong business and financial acumen, particularly with an understanding of the MITRE business environment, government contracting at large, as well as good knowledge of CAS/FAR. In addition to the activities mentioned above, the role will be responsible for:
- Ensuring timely and quality delivery of services across departments and staff members
- Seeking out opportunities to streamline processes, eliminate work redundancies, and improve accessibility to accurate financial data
- Being a sought-after thought leader among peers, staff, and stakeholders
