Full Job Description
This position is assigned to the Central Contracts and Billings Homeroom section of Contracts and Pricing, providing management supervision and direction for business agreements, core elements of compliance, administration of common technology tools, cross-contract issues, contract training support, and other various administrative functions.
Work location for this position will be at NNS’ West Park building in Hampton, VA (500 West Park Lane) which is located just off the interstate at Hampton Center Parkway.

Administers, extends, negotiates and terminates standard and nonstandard contracts. Conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. Examines estimates of material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness. Prepares bids; processes specifications, progress, and other reports; advises management of contractual rights and obligations; compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical information.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline or the equivalent in education, training and experience, plus a minimum of 6 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience. Master’s degree and 4 years relevant experience.

Ideal candidate will be a self-starter, team-oriented, resourceful, independent thinker, solutions-focused, adaptable, and flexible individual. Strong leadership and communication skills both verbal and written are necessary due to the collaborative nature of this position with the other functional areas of NNS, as well as external customers.
