Position Summary: We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager/Scrum Master to manage technical delivery of IT projects. He or she will lead a cross-functional team of IT business analysts, developers, system engineers, and QAs to deliver value-added solutions for the business. He or she will also help improve SDLC and drive Agile adoption by working with IT management to define, develop and improve IT delivery processes. He or she will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and will have the ability to work effectively in a cross-disciplinary team, across multiple projects and multiple locations.
Qualifications: * Scrum Master experience with working knowledge of Agile practices * Ability to operate with high flexibility in a constantly evolving cross-functional team environment * Sound knowledge of software development and testing best practices * People management experience with resources of varying technical and functional skill sets * Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills * Able to work collaboratively and communicate with various functional areas and employee levels within the company, from line-level to executive leadership * Strong passion for project delivery * Strong leadership and facilitation skills * Drive to deliver on commitments and to motivate team to do so * Excellent analytical and problem solving skills * Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and project management tools
Qualifications Required: * Bachelorâs degree or related experience * 3+ years proven track record in running software project delivery at an enterprise level in Agile environments * Previous experience in managing cross-disciplinary team across multiple technical projects is a must * Ability to manage complex IT projects across the entire SDLC
Essential Functions & Responsibilities: * Manage delivery from concept/requirements definition to end user deployment in a fast paced environment through the full project lifecycle * Develop sprint plans with Scrum team, plan iterations, drive estimation exercises * Facilitate sprint planning, stand-ups, sprint review/demos and retrospectives meetings * Ensure impediment removal, or guide team through impediment removal in a cross-functional environment * Maintain project/sprint plan and relevant metrics that help the team track progress and keep to targets * Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope, facilitate progress, identify and manage risks & issues * Work with Chief of Staff/IT Portfolio Management on status reporting including project progress, velocity calculation, preparation of burndowns, etc. * Develop and maintain release scope for respective projects * Help drive high level initiatives to improve SDLC and Agile
Nonessential Functions: * Comfortable working in a fast paced environment * PMP/CSM is a plus * Prior experience in managing Microsoft Suite Technology (.Net, C#, BI, SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, and SQL): strongly preferred * Prior experience with Jira: preferred * 1-3 years mortgage or financial industry experience: desirable
