CRB Auto, a division of Mechanics Bank is currently searching for a Head of Strategic Planning based in our Irvine office. This role will identify and execute growth opportunities for CRB Auto. Will partner with the CEO to evaluate market forecast and long-term trends, collect competitive intelligence, drive cross-functional business processes and maintain business model innovation. Serves as a key leader for strategic initiatives, especially those with a focus on longer-term innovation and transformation. Will synchronize strategies with corporate centric plans and interpret long-term plans into short-term projects. Will be focused on planning, growth and business model innovation objectives.


What you will do:

  • Develop inclusive strategic plan and strategy by collaborating with the leadership team, board and executives
  • Assist the CEO and senior leadership team in defining and refining the business strategy and operating framework
  • Establish and review key strategic priorities and collaborate with the CEO to develop a comprehensive strategic plan.
  • Analyzing market dynamics, market share changes, product line performance and competitive intelligence.
  • Identify strategic risks
  • Partner with institutional leadership, special committees and consultants to support execution of key initiatives
  • Facilitate communication of the strategy, long-term vision, and underlying business logic within and across offices
  • Ensure stable metrics are in place to measure performance and progress
  • Monitor execution of business initiatives
  • Mobilize and manage teams of individuals charged with executing strategies
  • Act as a resource across an organization to increase broad cohesion for strategic plans
  • 25% of expected travel

  • Bachelor’s Degree required and a minimum of 10+ years of relevant industry or professional services experience required
  • Demonstrated experience presenting to C-Suite and Board level audiences
