A ROLE YOU WILL LOVE
The Head of Delivery is a leadership position that has accountability and provides oversight and direction around technology delivery, governance, project office, strategy and architecture. The Head of Delivery will promote a consistent, transparent and efficient approach to the way the IT organization delivers value to the business.

Primary Accountabilities
  • A consistent, transparent and efficient approach to the way the IT organization delivers value to the business

  • Take overall responsibility for the delivery of IT software change in an agile manner

  • Overall leadership accountability and provide oversight and direction for the following key functions: Scrum Masters, Business Analysts and Quality Assurance.

  • Managing the activities of the team consistently delivering quality solutions on time, within budget, and scope.

  • Managing the portfolio, including tracking, standards, monitoring and updating the status of programme deliverables

  • Provide technical leadership, roadmaps, and, direction. Work effectively with Product Owners to ensure delivery against agreed priorities;

  • A consistent and strategic approach to the use of information technology across the group.

  • Leads the IT Architecture function to develop, maintain and govern. This individual is also responsible for defining the roadmaps, process and architecture governance.

  • Financial management and control

Required:

  • Develops realistic plans, sets goals, aligns plans with company goals, plans for and manages resources, creates contingency plans, coordinates/cooperates with others.

  • A track record of successfully planning, testing, implementing and reviewing all business systems in a centralized and distributed environment, within required timeframes and budgets.

  • Knows and explains product features/benefits, understands/sells the full product line, understands customer’s business operations and needs, understands/responds to the competition, understands and applies market knowledge and keeps abreast of new developments.

  • Creates and communicates a long-term vision, balances short and long term goals, keeps own and team’s work aligned with overall goals, understands the market and can predict change, understands the industry and the competition, creates and adjusts strategic plans.

  • Lead on building positive relationships with the key stakeholders in the business, ensuring that strategy and service develops to meet business needs.

  • Builds customer confidence, is committed to increasing customer satisfaction, sets achievable customer expectations, assumes responsibility for solving customer problems, ensures commitments to customers are met, solicits opinions and ideas from customers, responds to internal customers.

  • Understands specialty equipment, keeps knowledge up-to-date, is a technical resource for others, follows technology practices and standards.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university; or four to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s Degree in business or technical discipline desirable.
  • 10+ years project delivery experience with significant progression of responsibilities;

  • 10+ years of people leadership with examples of ability to build high quality teams;

  • Enterprise architecture experience collaborating directly with business partners to ensure architectures deliver on business objectives

  • Experience managing the product lifecycle and the ability to build business cases around this

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills providing the ability to present and explain information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others and promotes understanding and consensus

  • Process driven especially developing and improving administrative procedures

  • Sound application of Microsoft Office tools particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project

Travel Required
It is expected that this position may include travel up to 10% of the time. This is subject to change based on many factors, including business needs.

Language Ability
Ability to read/analyse/interpret business periodicals/ journals/technical procedures/gov. regulations; write reports/business correspondence/procedure manuals; effectively present information/respond to questions from managers/clients/customers/public.

Mathematical Ability
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
