Would you like to be part of a team focused on worldwide business development for the Database and Analytics markets?
As Business Operations Manager for the Database and Analytics (DBS) Business Development team within AWS, you will have the exciting opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build mind share and broaden AWS’ use in enterprises and industry ecosystems. Your responsibilities will include a) annual operational and budget planning processes and deliverables, b) monthly metrics dashboards and executive reporting processes and deliverables, c) own content management for internal and external communities, d) managing weekly/monthly/ quarterly/annual team cadence/ meetings/ events, e) own special projects and programs for the team on as needed basis. You will work closely with the DBS global leadership team, regional DBS business development teams across the globe, and external stakeholders in sales operations and enablement. You must be comfortable working with cross functional, global teams in dynamic organizations as many of the projects and programs will have interdependencies with other teams within AWS.
The right candidate has successful experience in leading business operations for 100+ people global organizations, possesses strong analytical skills, exceptional writing and communications skills, strong project and program management capabilities and a proven track record of simultaneously driving multiple priorities, a customer-focused approach, affinity for fast paced entrepreneurial environment, has a strong sense of ownership, and is detail oriented.

Experience with agile or other program management methodologies

  • Prior experience SQL, Salesforce.com and other BI and analytics technologies
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skill. Ability to communicate in writing clearly, succinctly, and in a data-driven fashion.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills. Comfortable with going deep and wide. Data driven.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects – work prioritization, planning and task delegation.
  • Ability to effectively work with a variety of organizations, management levels, cultures, and personalities.
  • Experience communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple teams.
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results.
  • Innovative and self-directed.
