    Title: Parts Management dept. GM

    Reports to: President

    Location: DMG MORI Manufacturing, Davis, CA

    Hours: Monday through Friday(Sa), 8:00am to 5:00pm

    Classification: Exempt

    Travel: 5%

    Employment is conditioned on DMG MORI’s ability to obtain and maintain any necessary export licensing.

    The Parts Management GM is responsible for the managing of all parts domestically and internationally while coordinating its Logistics in the Davis Factory.

    • Direct Procurement and Logistics departments in all functions of Parts Management
    • Create clear procurement/purchasing strategy and plan
    • Develop and evaluate competitive local vendor supplier
    • Maintain relationships with internal colleagues as well as domestic/international vendor relationships
    • Monitor inventory and Logistic staff on a regular basis.
    • Maintain organized warehouse
    • Coordinate inventory counting cycles
    • Create reports and presentations related to parts management activities
    • Comply with safety rules and regulations
    • Other duties as assigned

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Japanese speaking and writing required
    • MRP management system experience required
    • Vendor management experience specific to purchasing in a manufacturing or machine environment required
    • Warehouse management experience required
    • Proven negotiation skills with vendors required
    • Mechanical/Electrical engineering background preferred
    • Thorough working knowledge of purchasing policies, processes and procedures
    • Strong technical experiences with computers: Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint, and spreadsheets analysis

    Work Environment:

    General office environment will be experienced. There will be periodic exposure to manufacturing environments which may present hazards such as noise, electricity, chemicals, heavy equipment, and other automated and manual machinery.

    Physical Demands:

    Frequent: sitting at desk utilizing computers and phones.

    Periodic: business travel (domestic/abroad), standing, walking, repetitive foot, leg, hand, arm, shoulder, and torso movements.

    Occasional: bending, stooping, and lifting
