How You’ll Make a Difference:

Directs the development, implementation, and administration of security systems and equipment to support the organization’s goal of a cost effective and consistent approach to physical security and security technology.

Prepare a master plan for physical security and security technology. Designs, develops, and ensures effective implementation of all security systems and equipment policies, procedures, and programs system-wide.

Manage the Physical Security team assignments, projects, budgets, and deliverables.

Provides system wide problem-solving assistance and consultation to department personnel and leadership in relation to physical security and security technology.

Serves as an administrator for security related information and data management systems. Analyzes data from security audits and inspections and develops processes to address concerns.

Develops and implements system wide strategies for dissemination and use of security related software.

Provides consultation to departments in developing and implementing a cost-effective plan for security systems.

Develops education and training programs for the use of security systems, equipment and software applications to ensure that staff are fully competent in the use and maintenance of all equipment and systems.

Keeps abreast and knowledgeable of regulations and laws pertaining to security related technology. Ensures state and federal compliance regulations are monitored, evaluated, and effectively implemented.

Degrees

Bachelor’s Degree in Security or related field.

Required Functional Experience

Typically requires 7 years of experience in security systems, equipment and software applications.


Required Management Experience

Includes 3 years of management experience in managing loss prevention programs and multiple security related functions.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Expert level of knowledge in security practices, procedures, and related state and federal compliance requirements.Demonstrate a high degree of diplomacy and public relations skills as well as the ability to effectively gain the cooperation of outside agencies such as law enforcement agencies, OSHA , NIOSH and local fire departments.Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees. Demonstrated ability to exercise mature judgment and sound reasoning while maintaining a courteous and tactful demeanor in dealings with employees, visitors, and patients. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) or similar products.
