The Opportunity
Vallenâs Director of Real Estate and Indirect Materials and Services (IM&S) is a staff management position responsible for strategy and planning which align business operations with the company’s mission and goals. This role contributes to defining and implementing the execution of spend management and sourcing strategies for Indirect Materials and Services (IM&S) while providing support to the identification and application of strategy development for Trade & Logistics. Director of Real Estate (IM&S) fosters and provides strategic support for processing of direct materials where needed. Establish and employ real estate strategy and plan to ensure Vallen has the right premises at the right time and in the right place in order to achieve economy of operations. Directs subordinate managers to ensure operating expenses, such as repair and maintenance, cleaning services, security services, utilities and energy, and common areas are appropriately maintained.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistic Management, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.
- Minimum 8-10+ years of experience in supply chain management, wholesale distribution, industrial distribution, manufacturing or a similarly applicable industry (indirect materials a plus).
- Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and customer service skills.
- Demonstrated financial stewardship and business acumen:
- Management and analysis of P&L
- Ability to produce and interpret various financial forecast models
- Success with designing profitable business proposals.
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong presentation skills with professional presence
