We have an exciting opportunity for a Director of Information Technology for our new sister company, Geniq, Incorporated!
Reporting to the Co-CEO, the Director of Technology will serve as a trusted advisor to both of the Co-CEO’s. S/He will be responsible for planning, designing and executing against the technology strategy and roadmap of the Company and accountable for the end-to-end delivery of the Company’s technology suite, as well as the infrastructure/security required to support these products. The team consists of Product Managers, IT/Security/Network, DBA and a mix of contracted and in-house development resources. The ideal candidate will be a senior level leader who can get the attention and respect of the organization, with sufficient technical depth, excellent communication skills, ability to work in a fast changing environment and a customer-oriented approach to building market leading SaaS products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
1. Provide Geniq executive team with input regarding the optimal technology direction for the organization.
2. Develop a plan to deploy strategy to sustain and scale the cloud business.
3. Establish technical credibility with clients.
4. Provide direct leadership for staff who will directly report to the VP of Technology.
5. Develop strategy to optimize contracted and in-house development resources.
6. Promote a culture of high performance and accountability.
7. Implement best practices of the modern SaaS organization and develop an enhanced culture built on an understanding of success through operating excellence.
8. Oversee and guide the implementation of reporting systems, service methodology, quality assurance metrics, and standards that will better serve clients and enhance overall production and profitability of the organization.
9. In-depth software development and engineering experience and well versed in next generation platforms in a SaaS based business.
10. Must have delivered results that resulted in measurable business gain.
11. Should have the appropriate mix of technical and business skills as well as an ability to translate client and market opportunities into a robust suite of products and solutions.
12. Own the technology vision & strategy, while building and managing an exceptional engineering/development/QA team.
13. Own security and requisite certifications to maintain best in class security practices.
14. Rally the team and gain the confidence and respect of the organization.
15. Direct the product management staff to establish, articulate, and set the vision for the underlying (technology) strategy for Geniq, optimizing our addressable market, delighting existing and prospective customers, and building competitive differentiation and barriers.
16. Manage and improve the software development and (agile) release cycle cadence to maintain the appropriate balance of innovation, quality assurance, and cost control at scale.
17. Identify potential technology partners which can significantly increase the value of our existing product portfolio.
18. Manage Geniq internal network and applications.
19. Other duties as assigned
B. Education and/or Experience:
1. A bachelor’s degree from a four-year college and/or Master’s degree preferred.
2. A proven track record as a VP of Technology in a high growth, SaaS environment.
3. Must be knowledgeable on HIPAA privacy and security regulations and able to assist in implementation and enforcement.
4. Excellent problem solving and organizational skills.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate technical issues throughout all levels throughout the organization.
6. Knowledgeable and conversant in latest trends and practices in SaaS information technology, and its culture and role in the healthcare industry.
7. Excellent management skills of planning, organizing and delegation, ability to mentor, coach and council.
8. 5 – 10 years experience and strong track record of success in IT management positions.
9. Experience and understanding of structured Information Systems workflows.
10. Experience and knowledge with workflows and operations within a Medical Group setting.
