Job Description

We are looking for a Director-level communicator to head up all communications for the company (internal and external; PR/AR, social media) while helping manage the corporate brand. This is a great opportunity to get in on the “ground floor” for corp. comms. of a well led and well-funded, pre-IPO technology company that is founded by experts in the industry to help develop and design their communications structure and strategies.


You will:

  • Craft and manage internal and executive communications strategies
  • Formulate select and highly targeted PR and AR outreach programs tied to global marketing campaigns and key corporate initiatives
  • Increase the company’s position and reputation through high-profile thought leadership initiatives and/or partnerships across both business and technical trade press outlets
  • Educate press, bloggers, and other influential parties about the company and our business differentiation
  • Craft innovative ways to amplify the result of media across all digital and social media channels, and work cross-functionally to transform media coverage to lead generation
  • Oversee community relations strategy
  • Be a key content contributor to the company’s corporate strategic narrative, including messaging platforms, online content, Q&As, etc.
  • Follow up and manage in-bound media enquiries
  • Develop and manage internal processes to enhance global coordination and alignment of communications activities (e.g., disclosure and media policies, protocols for corporate communication, maintain issues handbook)
  • Assist in developing and managing media key metrics, to measure media impact

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of communications, public and analyst relations experience; combination of agency and brand experience a plus
  • Experience working in the software testing and/or infrastructure industry, both a plus
  • Strong strategic thinking skills, storytelling skills, and significant communications experience working with senior executives
  • Ability to be proactive, integrating key messaging into digital and social programs
  • Management of corporate communications for an IPO-bound company and/or a public company is desired, but not mandatory
  • Ability to engage external stakeholders in the community
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead and manage multiple time-sensitive projects under tight deadlines
  • Media and relations experience in both trade and business press
  • Strong editor and writer who can teach PR and marketing writing
  • Collaborative, team-oriented approach to PR
